What if healing doesn’t start with the trauma?

Jeremy Stalnecker, CEO of the Mighty Oaks Foundation, explains why their approach begins somewhere deeper: identity, faith, and purpose.

Rather than treating faith as something to add later, Mighty Oaks starts with the belief that understanding who you are—and who you were created to be—provides the foundation for everything that follows.

Jeremy breaks it down simply:

When identity is tied only to a job, rank, uniform, achievement, or even trauma, losing those things can leave a person feeling completely lost.

But when identity is grounded in something that doesn’t change, purpose can return.

And when purpose returns, so can hope.
