What happens when you leave the military—and the purpose that carried you through combat no longer feels within reach?
The ToosDay Crüe welcomes USMC veteran Jon Cole, retired Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 2 and host of The Bunkhouse Podcast, for a candid conversation about military transition, veteran mental health, and finding purpose after service.
Jon served 16 years as a Data Systems Engineering Officer, including three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. But his toughest transition wasn’t finding a job. It was waking up without a mission that felt as meaningful as serving.
His experience helped reshape The Bunkhouse from a podcast about veterans entering IT into a platform where veterans support veterans through honest conversations about mental health and life after the uniform.
Join us as we explore:
• Rebuilding identity and purpose after military service
• Why staying connected to your veteran community matters
• Leadership lessons rooted in listening and caring for people
• The role of faith, family, and belonging
• Why “it’s OK to not be OK” needs to become a conversation
Jon also serves as VP of Technology and Programs at Amistar Foundation, co-founded the Veteran Podcast Network, and contributes to the CAVARTS podcasting program.
His message: “Be The Light In Someone’s Dark.”
