Patrick Thibeault was still a teenager when he experienced what he calls his first real taste of “blood, sweat, and tears” as a combat medic.
During Desert Storm, Patrick found himself treating wounded soldiers in the back of a modified Black Hawk — suddenly putting his medical training to work in an environment where mistakes could cost lives.
Airway. Breathing. Circulation.
Training had become reality.
And in those moments, Patrick discovered something about himself that would shape the rest of his life:
He could perform under pressure — and he knew medicine was where he belonged.
Patrick would go on to serve in Afghanistan, build a career in civilian medicine, become a Family Nurse Practitioner, and eventually turn decades of hard-earned experience into education through Suburban Prepper and the Total Preparedness Program.
