Female Veterans Speak Out, a New Heart & Fighting for Veterans | What a Week!

🔥 WHAT A WEEK ACROSS THE MISFITNATION!

Three conversations. Three completely different journeys. But one message kept coming through:

What we survive and learn can become something that helps someone else.

🇺🇸 SUNDAY – SUSAN L. COMBS RETURNED!

This one brought things full circle.

Susan L. Combs—our 500th episode guest—returned to The MisFitNation with her new book, Wonder Women: The Untold Stories of Female Veterans.

Susan shared why it was important to create a space where female Veterans could tell THEIR stories in THEIR voices.

Boot camp. Deployments. Leadership. Sacrifice. Family separation. Coming home. Rebuilding. Healing.

These aren't simply military stories.

They're stories that help broaden our understanding of what Veteran service actually looks like.

❤️ TOOSDAY – GAYLEN WILSON

The Crüe welcomed heart-transplant survivor, author, Certified Thriving Relationship Coach, and Monument Method Institute founder Gaylen A. Wilson.

After surviving severe heart failure and receiving a new heart, Gaylen faced another challenge:

How do you rebuild your life when you've been given another chance to live it?

We talked relationships, emotional safety, resilience, purpose, legacy—and the lessons Gaylen has now poured into an incredible 34 books.

🪂 THURSDAY – CORY GOLD

Rich closed out the week with U.S. Army Veteran Cory Gold.

A parachute incident changed Cory's military career. What followed was another battle—trying to navigate Veteran benefits without fully understanding what he had earned or where to turn.

Cory eventually found his way through.

Now he's helping other Veterans do the same.
