The combat ends. The questions about blast exposure don’t. U.S. Army veteran Timothy Grossman joins The MisFitNation to discuss military occupational blast exposure, blast overpressure, veteran brain health, and the fight to get invisible wounds recognized.
A former 11C indirect-fire infantryman, Timothy served with the Rakkasans of the 101st Airborne Division and Task Force 2-2 Infantry, 1st Infantry Division, during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. His experience with mortar fire and combat brings a personal perspective to his work advocating for blast-exposed service members and veterans.
With more than 19 years in veterans advocacy, health, benefits, and policy, Timothy previously served as a VA-accredited National Service Officer with Disabled American Veterans and worked with Wounded Warrior Project, including assignments embedded at Walter Reed and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence.
Now President of the Cohort of Overpressured Warfighters Action Council (COWAC), he brings together lived experience, veterans benefits expertise, and policy advocacy to push for greater recognition of military occupational blast exposure.
