5 Combat Tours. 7 Kids. Strength Beyond War | William Hansen

What does strength look like after war, injury, and heartbreaking loss?

The ToosDay Crüe welcomes William Hansen, a USMC and U.S. Army veteran whose story connects military service, fatherhood, leadership, and rebuilding a meaningful life.

A former Marine and Army Infantry Sergeant, William served 22 years in uniform with five tours in the Middle East. For the past 16 years, he has helped veterans and people living with injuries find ways to move with less pain, build strength, and reconnect with their families.

His goal goes beyond physical performance: helping people become functional, engaged, and able to enjoy life with the people they love.

A former high school history teacher and Dean of Students, William coached more than 20 wrestling, football, and track teams, earning eight sectional championships. His approach to mentorship draws on decades of leading Marines, Soldiers, students, and athletes.

As a father of seven, he also brings a deeply personal perspective on raising a family through deployments, injuries, the loss of his children’s mother to cancer, and the challenges that follow.

William placed third at Masters Nationals Strongman in both 2023 and 2024 and competed at the Arnold Masters Strongman in 2025. Now, he is looking toward one final Nationals run in fall 2027—at age 60.

Join us for a conversation about:
• Life after military service and rebuilding after injury
• Discipline, motivation, and compassionate leadership
• Fatherhood through deployment, grief, and adversity
• Strength training, adaptive movement, and family connection
• Finding purpose through coaching and helping others
